IBGE: Conference will have special publication in September 2024

During the week of July 29 to August 2, 2024, the IBGE held the National Conference of Data Producers and Users, which brought together experts to discuss the risks and opportunities arising from the current governance of the Digital Era and to address the consolidation of the National System of Geosciences, Statistics and Data (SINGED). To this end, the event had round tables and working groups in which national and international guests gave their lectures on the topics of interest.

In order to consolidate the discussions fostered at this event, the IBGE will design a publication, scheduled for release in September 2024, comprising the speakers’ articles on the subject of their lectures.

The writing specifications for the articles are as follows:

  • Content: including an abstract, introduction or contextualization, discussion and bibliographical references;
  • Abstract: including the article’s title, author's name, summary (maximum 300 words), keywords (maximum 10 words), footnote with the author's name, organization and email;
  • Number of pages: between 4 and 8 pages, including the abstract;
  • Font: Arial, size 12;
  • Spacing: 1.2;
  • Margins: 2.5 cm;
  • Bibliographic standards: Brazilian National Standards Organization (Associação Brasileira de Nomas Técnicas) - ABNT.
  • Deadline: September 6th.

In addition to these articles, the publication will also include reports prepared by the rapporteurs who took part in the round tables and working groups. These reports include a summary by the round table coordinator with the most important points presented, a summary of each speaker's speech, among other information.
