Planned Sessions

WORKS RELATED TO THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES OR RELATED TOPICS ARE WELCOME TO BE PRESENTED IN ORAL OR POSTER FORMAT DURING THE SYMPOSIUM. THIS INVITATION ALSO INCLUDES NATIONAL REPORTS DESCRIBING THE MAIN SIRGAS ACTIVITIES DEVELOPED BY MEMBER COUNTRIES DURING THE LAST YEAR.

The planned sessions are:


  1. Development and maintenance of the SIRGAS framework: SIRGAS Analysis Center reports, review and updating of processing and combining strategies, analysis and modeling of frame deformations, processing of GNSS observations within SIRGAS, etc.
  2. SIRGAS contributions to the measurement and analysis of the Earth System: Geodynamic monitoring, atmospheric studies, determination of changes in mean sea level, geophysical studies based on SIRGAS infrastructure, etc.
  3. Real-time SIRGAS Infrastructure: Advances and activities required to support the development of (almost) real-time applications in the SIRGAS region.
  4. Advances in the SIRGAS unified vertical reference system: Perspectives and advances in the realization of the SIRGAS vertical system.
  5. Practical applications for the adoption of SIRGAS at the subregional and national levels: Reports from SIRGAS member countries, progress in the adoption of SIRGAS, use and availability of SIRGAS products.
  6. SLR - Satellite Laser Ranging in Latin America: promote specialization in the observation of this technique in the Latin American geodetic community context.
