The SIRGAS 2019 Symposium Local Organizing Committee and the Executive Committee are pleased to invite the Earth Sciences Scientific and Technological Communities, as well as students and teachers to participate in the SIRGAS 2019 Events to be held in the city of Rio de Janeiro from November 11 to 14. In this opportunity the GGOS Days 2019 will take place simultaneously in the same venue and a joint session between the SIRGAS community and GGOS specialist representatives has been planned. In the previous week, between November 6 and 8, the 2nd Workshop on SLR in Latin America will be held. This joint effort undoubtedly foresees the presence of international leading specialists in Geodesy who will enrich the SIRGAS 2019 Symposium.

This edition will be organized by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and the Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ) with the support of the Pan-American Institute of Geography and History (PAIGH) and the International Association of Geodesy (IAG).
